COMMANDER

I would like to thank the Infidels for the toy run. It was a great day with lots of outstanding toy donations. I would also like to thank Becky and Myra for the Christmas party with lots of toys as well as Becky’s work with the battered women organization. A Big thanks you to Frank, Jim and Ruben for cooking for the Christmas part as well.. I hope you all had a merry Christmas and a happy New Years. Finally, I would like to thank Mike and Donna for cooking the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. It was fantastic. On a final note, we always need more volunteers for our events. I look forward to seeing your all next year. For God and country.

Thanks to all of you that paid your dues and supporting American Legion Post 421. The November Early Bird dinner was a great success. Our membership is now well over 85% and growing.
If you received an “American Legion 2018 Annual Dues Notice” from National in the mail and you have already paid your 2018 dues, please disregard the notice. If you paid your dues again, let me know and we will refund your over paid money.
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
Thanks again for your support.

AUXILIARY PRESIDENT

As we begin the new year, we can look back at 2017 and see that our Legion family has worked very hard to support our veterans and their families. Your Auxiliary has been mindful of its obligations to our veterans, our youth and our community and we have donated to worthy causes and have had a good time doing it! Our Christmas party was well attended and gave us a chance to relax and enjoy each other’s company. My New Years wish is that more ladies will get more involved with the work we do to support our programs. Upcoming work includes various fundraisers, our Poppy drive and our Yard Sale.
May God bless each and every one of you throughout 2018. Happy New Year!
