Officer’s Corner

Earlier, in February, we lost our long time comrade Billy O’Neil after over 42 years of faithful membership. He served in the Korean War as a Navy Hard Hat Underwater Welder, and was a Past Commander in 1982. His loss has weighed heavy in our hearts.

I would like to thank those that contributed their time for the Post Everlasting ceremony for Billy, those who prepared dinners, breakfasts and tacos, and all those who helped make the Super Bowl a great success. More events to come. Try to keep up. For God and Country.

Thank you all for your support to Post 421. We are currently over 100% on our paid dues. We have had many new members join this post and numerous transfers. If you haven’t paid your 2018 membership dues, please do so as soon as you can.

Please disregard the notice if you have already paid your 2018 dues and you received an “Over Due Notice” from National. If you have paid your dues, again, let me know and we will refund your over paid money.

Thanks again for your support.

Greetings all! I hope everyone is enjoying 2018 so far. Our Post family events have been successful and fun. The best thing about them, however, is that they raise funds for some really important causes. Thanks to all who volunteer and those who are beginning to volunteer. Keep it up because we need you! On a sadder note, we lost longtime Auxiliary member June Plessel in February. June and her husband, Earl, were regulars years ago, but recently we would only see her when she came in for breakfasts and dinners to go. Moving on to membership, a couple more transmittals will put us at 100% membership. First Vice Terri Granado handles membership diligently and her work has paid off. Until the next newsletter, keep the faith! For God and Country.
